  1. Make a Gratitude List

Try practicing gratitude by making a list of ten things you are thankful for at the beginning or end of your day. Spread some gratitude outside of yourself by writing a gratitude list of ten things you are thankful for someone else, such as your partner, a friend, coworker, neighbor or family member. You never know how this could brighten someone else's day!

  2. Practice Kindness

Practicing random acts of kindness now only allows you to become happy and positive, but it also can have a ripple effect of kindness when shared with others. It always feels great to do something positive for others. Make others smile and show kindness still exists in the world.

  3. Get Active

Being physically active is wonderful component to a happier lifestyle. Going for a walk, hiking, yoga, taking a fitness class, or playing a round of golf are all ways to engage those happy endorphins and boost your mood. Being active relieves stress and reduces anxiety and you will radiate happiness and confidence when you move your body.

  4. Go Outdoors

Spending time outside is beneficial for your mind. Nature is a beautiful and calming place to be. Look at the clouds, smell the fresh air, touch the grass, take your shoes off and stand on the earth, allow yourself some distraction of the real world, especially with all that is going on in the world right now. Being outdoors allows you to clear your mind and think positive. Meditate, read a book, or drink your coffee outside. The outdoors relieves stress, boosts your energy, and makes you feel more alive!

  5. Curb Your Negative Self-Talk

In order to be more positive you must produce your own positive energy, and this starts with curbing the negative self-talk. If you are experiencing negative thoughts, try challenging them with good ones. Having a positive mindset allows you to attract positive events, have more motivation, and view problems as opportunities. Practice positive thinking by making a vision board, write yourself positive notes and place them around your home, journal what you are grateful for, and most of all, be there for yourself just how you would be there for a friend.

  6. Meditate

Meditating is the key to a productive, healthier, and happier life. It empowers you and connects you to yourself. Mediating allows you to focus on one thing at a time by letting go of other thoughts in your mind. It gives you the chance to train your mind to be emotionally calm and stable. Meditating makes you happier by appreciating the “right now.” Take a few minutes out of your day and try mindfulness meditation.
